Tobii 1750 Eye Tracker
With the Tobii 1750 Eye Tracker (Tobii Technology) it is possible to detect and record eye movements. The Eye Tracker is integrated in a computer monitor and can be connected to any computer of choice. Above and beyond the monitor there are infrared light-emitting diodes. The light which these diodes send cannot be seen by humans and is reflected on different points and angles of the eye. A special software detects the eyes of the user in a video that is recorded, searches for the pupil and computes the center of the pupil. Furthermore the software detects reflections of the infrared lamps in the eyes of the user. Through calculation of the difference between the center of the pupil and reflections in different eye position it is possible to compute the three-dimensional gaze position. These gaze positions are recorded with other data and can be analyzed later on. It is important that the participant is seated close to the monitor (max. distance 55 cm).
Features
- Plug-and-Play Eye Tracking. The system finds the eyes of the participant and computes the eye movements automatically.
- No limitations for the user: the participant does not have to wear any devices for the data acquisition like a helmet or headrest. The setting and the situation are therefore very natural and ensure a natural behavior of the participant.
